Remembering 9/11

I got up today and first thing I did was put up the American Flag in honor of 9/11. I think it is so important to remember what happened on this day seven years ago!

I did the same thing as I was driving to work this morning. Z103 had a commercial on with snippits of news that happened 9-11-01 and I immediately got chills. I started thinking of the families that lost loved ones that day and since that day when the United States military men and women were deployed. I thought of all the children (some not even born yet) that are without moms, dads, uncles, aunts, grandma's and grandpa's because of the tragedy that took place that day. I looked around at how 7 years later everything was pretty much the same here in Idaho Falls as far as everyday routine stuff...but how everything has changed as far as the way I value my freedom and the people that are fighting for it now and the ones that fought for it in in the past wars. I have never been more thankful or more grateful than I am today. It definately puts things in perspective. Thanks for putting up your flag. I wish I would have thought ahead and planned to do the same.
